Test Gold and Silver on Location Trick

When you’re out and about looking for treasures to buy and resell, you want to look for gold and silver. Sure prices might have gone down, but it’s still profitable. In this video I share a cool tip to test Gold and Silver on location. You’ll want to bring a magnet and jewelers loupe also. You can’t bring around acids and test things before you buy them.

If you start testing jewelery you will probably get some inquisitive looks. You probably won’t get a deal on the gold because they wouldn’t want to sell it for cheap. You have to be incognito with your treasure hunting. Now this trick involves using foundation or powder on your arm. Most precious metals will give a dark mark when they rub against makeup. This isn’t a definite test! Obviously you don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on gold and silver without a real test. Look for the 925 sterling silver marks. Use the magnet. If something attaches to a magnet then in is not a precious metal.

The gold boom may have slowed down but it’s still a good metal to invest in. I wouldn’t cash in right now because gold is down. It will go up in time. The American dollar isn’t backed by gold so anytime Americans feel that things are going south, they will invest in gold and end up raising the prices of it.

Silver will be going up in the future too. It is used in many electronic devices. I imagine in the future it will be worth almost as much as gold. But that’s just a prediction. So keep an eye out for scrap gold because it’s worth it to test and then keep adding to your collection. It’s a valuable commodity that will not depreciate as much as paper money does.
