How to Make Closed Captions YouTube

How to make closed captions YouTube. To make captions for your video you have on YouTube it’s really easy. Having a transcript for your video will help it get more views. this is because Google will have more words to index which let’s them know what you are talking about in your video. Of course you can write detailed descriptions and titles, but adding closed captions will give the best description of your video content.

There is an app already built to help you create closed captions. This website is called captiontube.appspot.com Here you will have to grant access to your YouTube account. It’s powered by Google which owns YouTube so it seems pretty safe to do this.

Then it will show you all of the videos you have in your account. You then choose which videos you want to import and work on. Now every YouTube video has a default caption track, but these are wrong. They are made by listening to the audio in your video and often think you are saying something you’re not. So once you are finished making your closed captions you want to disable this default track so viewers won’t get confused.

To make the captions you have to add them and type them in yourself. you could also pay somebody to do this for you but i like to know what’s being put into my videos. It is a long process but at least it’s a free closed caption software. It’s a lot easier than opening Notepad and typing all of the times and durations down yourself.

I recommend saving a copy for yourself on your computer or your storage cloud. You can upload captions in different languages. this will help you reach an international viewership. many people speak Spanish and French so do those first. YouTube is everywhere and your videos will have an edge over others who don’t have the Spanish and French subtitles.

So check out CaptionTube if you want to get more subscribers and attention for your videos. It;s a lot of work but it’s worth it to get those closed captions on YouTube videos.
