I thought I would start sharing the tools I use with my reselling business. There are some items that you have to have to be successful. One of those items is my package weight calculator or shipping scale. It goes up to 330 pounds although I’ve never tested that number! I bought this scale because I was shipping heavier boxes and was tired of dragging those heavy packages to the UPS store. I like to use UPS pickups which means I have to have postage on my boxes.
I did have a smaller scale but it only went up to 10 pounds. I still use that for smaller packages. But This scale is very helpful. You can use batteries with it so that means you can move around your workspace. You can also change the way it measures weight. The fact that the display is attached by a cord helps when you have big boxes. You can a box on the scale and see the read out. Other scales have the display right on the platform so you have to move boxes more often.
This is the exact scale I bought. I got it from Amazon. I’ve seen scales in stores like Staples and Best Buy but I liked this scale more. If you have heavier boxes and are tired of driving to the post office or UPS store just to measure the weight of your boxes then I would recommend this scale. So that is my shipping scale review.

hey katie how do i determin when shipping a package through usps how much shipping should be. i always seem to charge to little on an item. should i get one of those scales or do it through ups? usps is more conveient because 1 it is close and 2 i can print a label through my printer what do u suggest?
I like to put the item in a box with some packing material then weigh it on my scale. You don’t have to box it up, but this will help you estimate the weight better.
