How To Search eBay Completed Listings

If you are selling on eBay, you need to research the items you are selling. Using the eBay completed listings will give you a better idea of how much an item you have is worth. In this video I show you how easy it is to find the completed listings on their website. If you plan on buying items to resell you need to learn how to use the completed listings so you only buy items worth reselling.

For this example I used a long tail item that I knew would not be popular. Use the search field to type in your item keywords. Try to be vague at first if you think you have a one of a kind item. Next you will see the results. Scroll down and click completed listings in the left toolbar. Now it wills how you the most recent ended listings. I like to sort my items from most expensive to least. If you see black it did not sell. If you see green it sold for that price. If you see a lot of green then the item has a good sell through rate. It may be a fast flip.

You can also look at just the sold listings but if you are looking up an item you want to buy to resell, you should have sell through rate as a factor in your buying decisions. Unless you have enough money to wait on an item to sell. Al ways try to do research before buying an item so you don’t lose out on money! So make sure you see a bigger ratio of green than you do black. If everything is black then you probably aren’t on the completed listings page.
