eBay Newbie Advice

Many new sellers go in blindly. But not you. Being and eBay newbie shouldn’t overwhelm you. It won’t take very long for you to become and expert. But before you start check the video above for some keen advice.

know that it’s always better to buy an item based on a hunch then to let it sit on the thrift store shelf. If you don’t buy an item, it probably won’t be there when you get back. It feels worse to have missed out then it does making a mistake. Trust me.

The best thing you can do is get a smartphone with a data plan so you can download the eBay app. this will let you research high ticket items. You don’t want to spend too much time researching $2 items. Why? Because you need to keep track of how much money you are making per hour. You don’t want to work for less than minimum wage. That is one of the biggest mistakes I see self employed people do. I even find myself doing it accidentally.

Next you want to learn about shipping items. You must by a scale so you don’t waste time waiting in a line at the post office. Plus you can buy postage through eBay where you might get a discount. Ebay will notify the buyer of the tracking information automatically. Plus you can see a spread of prices for the weight and dimensions of your box. Sometimes it’s cheaper to use priority mail then parcel post. You won’t feel rushed like you would at the post office.

The last tip is that PayPal will probably put a hold on your money for a couple weeks until they see that the customers were satisfied. This helps keep scammers off of eBay. They’re just making sure that there is money in the account if someone asks for a return. Make sure to check the video out before you go.
