eBay Betrays Sellers

Here’s one thing that eBay seller should be angry about. You pay fees to create listings on eBay right? Well then why are they selling ad space on your listings. Didn’t you already pay for that space. These advertisements don’t even link to other sellers. These ads go to another website. it takes them off the site completely. So boom, your potential customer just left. Ebay betrays sellers in other ways but this one is the most shocking.

The reason they do this is because they are just a shopping site. They don’t sell their own items like Amazon does. eBay doesn’t care so much if they stay on their site because they don’t have warehouses full of inventory to get rid off. They don’t have to deal with the overhead costs that sellers have to when storing items. They’re in it for the listing and advertising fees.

That’s a huge reason i switched to Amazon because eBay betrays sellers by not showing listings. My listing weren’t getting enough views to even think about getting sales. Why would I waste my time listing on eBay when it takes longer to list and I don’t get any traffic. It’s a horrible practice. Now you can see why eBay is failing and how Etsy is going to take over the antiques eCommerce world. At least with Etsy you know that traffic is your responsibility. Listing fees are smaller on Etsy as well.

Hopefully the new eBay rules will get more eyeballs for those that choose to create auction listings. I hope that whoever is still on eBay knows where it is headed. You can learn other platforms. You want to learn about social media as well. Right now if you want to sell online, you must learn how to push traffic to your listings because eBay isn’t going to do it for you.
