Spot Fake Lacoste Shirts

When you go shopping for things at garage sales or thrift stores, you will come across a lot of fakes. this video shows you how to spot fake Lacoste polo shirts. These are the most common shirts that are faked. It can be really easy to spot them if you know what to look for. The crocodile itself can tell you quickly if the shirt is fake. Yes i know that in the video I used the phrase “gator”. I’m from Ohio. There are not alligators or crocodiles. You’ll have to forgive me. Or you could write a comment on YouTube like everyone else did.

You’ll want to pull up a picture of the Lacoste logo when your out shopping. this will really help you because you won’t be able to remember every detail unless your wearing Lacoste while you’re shopping. Also check the quality of the material. This is the biggest giveaway that a short is fake. This works for every expensive brand. if it feels rough it’s probably fake. Luxury brands use high thread counts so their clothes last longer and feel softer to the touch.

Now check the buttons and tags. watch the video to see the exact details of what should be on the tags and where these words are positioned. Some counterfeiters will add all of the correct words but misplace them on the tag. If the garment doesn’t even have a care tag inside, it’s probably fake. even if someone cut it out you would still see part of the tag they couldn’t reach stubbing out of the side.

When you buy from the thrift store you want to wash all garments immediately so you don’t get bed bugs. But do not put your Lacoste polos in the dryer! Let them lay out flat and dry. Most of the Lacoste shirts i see in second hand stores have been put in driers and now are misshapen. Don’t buy these destroyed shirts for resale because the dimensions will be off and you will have to deal with a return from an unhappy customer.
